  • LINE Pay Privacy Policy Update Notice and Introduction of Addendum for GDPRNEW

    As of May 25, 2018, European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) replaces the 1995 Data Protection Directive.

    To comply with GDPR, LINE Pay has updated LINE Pay Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) accordingly and prepared LINE Pay Privacy Policy Addendum for GDPR (“Addendum for GDPR”) to better protect personal data of users in EU (European Union). The Addendum for GDPR is applied to users in EU only.

    If you continue to use the LINE Pay Services, you will be deemed to have accepted the aforementioned updated Privacy Policy and Addendum for GDPR. If you do not agree to the aforementioned updates, please immediately cease the use of the LINE Pay Services.   • LINE Pay Singapore Service Closing Notification

    Dear LINE Pay Users of Singapore:

    All of us at LINE Group wish to thank you for your continued patronage of LINE's services.

    We regret to inform you that the service provider of LINE Pay services in Singapore, LINE Biz+ Pte. Ltd. ("LINE Biz+") will discontinue its provision of the LINE Pay services from 8 February 2018 onwards. If you have not yet voluntarily terminated your LINE Pay service account、your account will be automatically terminated and inaccessible from this date.

    New registration of LINE Pay service will not be accepted beginning on 10 January 2018.

    Please note that all of your personal information relating to the LINE Pay service stored in LINE's servers will be deleted unless required by law.

    We wish to provide you with better service through other LINE's products and we remain;

  • Notice of service provider change

    Dear LINE Pay International Users:

    All of us at LINE Group wish to thank you for your continued patronage of LINE's services.

    We are writing to inform you that LINE Pay Corporation、a Japanese entity("LINE Pay Japan")、shall replace LINE Biz+Pte.Ltd.、a Singapore entity as the LINE Pay service provider、with effect from 9 February 2018.

    Should you wish to continue utilizing LINE Pay services through LINE Pay Japan、there is nothing else that you must do. In this regard、please note that if you do not terminate your LINE Pay account before 9 February 2018. you will be deemed to have consented to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy that is issued by LINE Pay Japan、which will act as the service provider of all LINE Pay services provided to you henceforth.

    However、if you do not agree to change your service provider to LINE Pay Japan、please terminate your LINE Pay account before 9 February 2018. If you terminate your LINE Pay account、please note that all of your personal information relating to the LINE Pay service stored in LINE's servers will be deleted unless required by law.

    We wish to continue to provide you with great services and look forward to serving you through LINE Pay Japan、and we remain;

The amendments to the Terms and Privacy Policy have been made to comply with applicable law and the internal policies of the Company. If you continue to use the Services, you will be deemed to have accepted the aforementioned amended Terms and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the aforementioned amendments, please immediately cease the use of the Services.

  • PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards) Certification

    In an effort to more securely protect users' credit card and transaction information, LINE Pay has acquired PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards) certification.

    PCI DSS is the security standard for credit card processing as defined by the PCI Security Standards Council, itself founded by five global payment brands , and is recognized as the basic requirement for any company in the payment card industry.
    PCI DSS is comprised of the following 6 objectives:
    - Build and Maintain a Secure Network
    - Protect Cardholder Data
    - Maintain a Vulnerability Management Program
    - Implement Strict Access Control Measures
    - Regularly Monitor and Test Networks
    - Maintain an Information Security Policy

    PCI DSS certification for service providers is categorized as Level 1 or Level 2. In order for a service provider to acquire a PCI DSS Level 1 Certificate, the service provider must meet the network scan requirements and the 12 security requirements, which are thoroughly assessed by a QSA (Qualified Security Assessor).

    LINE Pay has acquired certification for PCI DSS Level 1 compliance through a thorough assessment conducted by a QSA, thus proving that LINE Pay has established and is enforcing security measures to protect not only users' payment card information, but also their personal information under the safe environment guaranteed by world-renowned global payment brands.

  • ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Information Security Management System Certification


    In order to securely manage and protect your user data and essential information, LINE Pay has acquired ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS) certification.

    ISO/IEC 27001 is an international standard for information security management systems, developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). It is recognized as one of the most authoritative certifications in the world.

    ISO/IEC 27001:2013 is the revised information security standard that supersedes ISO/IEC 27001:2005, and consists of 114 controls classified under 14 domains, which include information security policies, organization of information security, access control, cryptography, physical and environmental security, among others.
